There are so many physical activities that we can do to lose weight. The main issue is that most of the time, we actually aren’t aware which of these physical activities are more effective. In this short article, you will find out what each physical activity can do for your weight loss. A better understanding on this is valuable because it can help you plan better. You can also shift from one exercise to another to make your workout time more exciting and, you can still burn the same amount of calories.
When you run, you not only move all of your body, but you will of course not need any special equipment around the house to help you lose weight. All you need is running attire, and decent shoes. You can also do it anytime and anywhere you want, just be sure that you will be safe. Your heart rate goes up easily and it will make your bones stronger. You can burn about 500-600 calories per hour of running.
Do you ever wonder why rock climbing has become one popular activity now? Doing it indoors or outdoors will do you lots of good. Not only do you become more strategic in choosing which rock to grab and climb next, but you also become more coordinated too. Rock climbing is actually a combination of resistance training and cardiovascular exercise. You can burn a minimum of 600 calories per hour and a maximum of 900 calories per hour
This workout has become very popular these recent years because it is so fun to do. Even an uncoordinated person will be able to burn many calories with Zumba. If you think you got enough motivation, you can do Zumba at the comfort of your own home, just by watching instructional videos. You’ll lose 500-600 calories per hour of doing Zumba.
Just like zumba, dancing is a great exercise too. You will move your entire body, have a tune that you will enjoy, and have other people who will join in the fun too. This is a great group activity and exercise that never gets boring. The least that you will burn per hour is 550 and the most would be 800.
Although it is impossible for an average person to do pushups for a whole hour, this is an intense exercise that will actually help you burn many calories in a single minute. You will be able to burn .8 to 1 calorie per push up. So just multiply the number of push-ups to .8 or 1 then you will find out the number of calories that you have burned.
It won’t be snowing all the time, so it is highly impossible for you to do this exercise outdoors all the time. However, since there have been studies conducted on how this exercise is very effective in helping people lose weight, there are now gym machines made specifically for this type of activity. So if you’re tired of the elliptical machine or running, you can have this activity as an alternative and still burn 550-650 calories per hour.
Kickboxing is a great martial art form, and is also a great way to lose weight. If you wonder why this is the only martial arts that we have included, this is because kickboxing excels in the amount of calories that you will burn in an hour. Even the newbie in this sport will be able to lose about 600-800 calories per hour. And along with burning calories you are also learning a defense technique that is very helpful.
This may seem to be a very simple activity that most people don’t mind including during their workout sessions, but including this can actually work wonders. Even 5-10 minutes of intense jumping can actually burn you as much as 120 calories which is amazing. This is also something that you can do if you are time constraint, or don’t have much space to exercise.
It doesn’t matter when you are indoors or outdoors, you will still lose the same amount of calories with the same intensity level that you’re doing. Your legs will not only be properly toned, but you will also burn 650-850 calories an hour. This sounds too good to be true, but it definitely is. Cycling is one of the best know techniques to strengthen your limbs and also burn more calories than other methods. Are you excited to get some fresh outdoor air while cycling around town?
This list will not be complete without the inclusion of the elliptical trainer. It is a very popular cardio machine and you will not have to wonder why. It allows the body to move naturally without the impact of the treadmill. You can easily add or subtract intensity without difficulty. As you move your body naturally, burn as much as 550-700 calories, depending on your intensity level.
The above methods sure do work in burning the extra calories but if practiced religiously. It is always how faithful and sincere we are. Even a day’s break can turn your mind back to the lazy routine and your efforts are down the drain. Do not think of these activities as exercises. Rather think of them as fun and you will find yourselves enjoying. However, before I sign off, let me also remind you that the above exercises are for people who do not have heart ailments or diabetes. These exercises are not meant to be done during pregnancy. Please do consult your doctor for the correct exercise techniques before you try it out all by yourself.
